A Brangelina Affair : Wedding of the Year
It was the best kept secret this year by the world’s most famous couple, as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tied the knot in their Chateau Miraval home in France on the 23rd August, after almost a decade together.
The pictures were first published in People and Hello magazines, and have now also also appeared on the covers of Australian Who & New idea magazines, with no clue it was even going to happen. A village officiall told People magazine “ No one in Correns knew a thing, its was a marriage that seems to have been carried out in total intimacy and absolute discretion”
Who Magazine reports the ceremony was a family affair with only 20 or so guests amongst the couple & their six children. Angelina walked down the isle with her two sons Maddox & Pax by her side, whilst daughters Zahara & Vivienne scattered petals from their own garden, as their younger siblings Knox & Shiloh acted as the ring-bearers.
Ange’s wedding dress was designed by Versace’s own Luigi Massi. The dress & veil included sewn on drawings from her six kids which Massi did himself. The drawings illustrated key moments in their life, including inside jokes. Some of the pictures included: A family portrait, flowers, a zebra, the Eiffel tower and also one of Pitt on his motorcycle.
Jolie explained “Luigi is like family to me and I couldn’t imagine anyone else making this dress, he knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together”
A source told New Idea magazine that Brad & Ange wanted the ceremony to be simple & personal, even the children helped in writing the vows. Instead of recorded music being played when Jolie entered the room, the guests along with her six children and Pitt hummed the tune to “Here comes the bride”. The wedding cake was made by Ange’s son Pax and his friends. Jolie tells New Idea “It was a lovely day with lots of laughter and meaning”.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are also reportedly giving all the proceeds made from the selling of their weddings photos to their Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
