A tribute to Amy Winehouse: A lifetime of covers..

tribute

As a devoted Amy Winehouse fan, I was devastated following the news of the “Camden Queen’s” death this Saturday. The 27 year old was found in her Camden home on Saturday afternoon by one of her security guards at 4pm. Within minutes of the news surfacing, over 20 million twitter users communicated about the star’s sudden death.

As word of the tragedy spread, a shrine of gifts, flowers, cards as well as artworks were left outside Amy’s house by crowds of mourning fans.

Friends and family have bid farewell to the musician including her ex husband Blake-Fielder-Civil who was left devastated, “My tears won’t dry and I will never ever again feel the love I felt for her.”, and Back to Black producer Mark Ronson “She was my musical soulmate & like a sister to me. this is one of the saddest days of my life”.

Following the sad news of her death, NME and OK! Magazine have released tribute issues featuring the singer with her signature beehive and thick winged liner celebrating the past 27 years.

Winehouse has appeared in numerous tabloid articles for her self destructive ways publicising her addiction battles that have seemed to overshadow the singer’s talent.

I want to remember Amy through the covers that have depicted a musical legend whose undeniable talent will be celebrated for generations to come….
